XTAR MC2 is a high performance programmable Variable Data Rate (VDR) platform designed for streaming applications in high-bandwidth links. It is designed with FPGA-based solutions for video processing, providing solutions for video compression, image preprocessing, and video enhancement. Its VDR technology is optimized for low latency, high resolution and high bitrate applications, such as 4K/8K UHD video transport. MC2 also supports multiple data transport links such as HDMI, IP/RTP, and different types of interfaces. It features a Linux operating system and is controlled using a cloud-based GUI interface. It provides easy integration into a variety of applications and is optimized for efficient data transfer, enabling it to keep up with changing industry demands. MC2 is also designed to work with various components, from media-specific sources such as encoders to end devices such as monitors and displays.
